Orlo Occasional Collection for BDI - 2018
I have always admired the aesthetics of river stones, which are shaped through the continuous tumbling, grinding, and colliding within the riverbed, as well as the abrasive action of sediment in the water. This process gives these stones their smooth, ellipsoidal shape. For the design of the tabletops, I drew inspiration from these shapes and created an arrangement that includes a coffee table and a multi-tiered side table. I selected solid walnut for the construction, featuring a softly profiled edge along the perimeter of the tabletop to enhance both its visual appeal and tactile softness.
