Bink Side Table for BDI - 2012

This project remains one of my most memorable design experiences. Although the concept was simple, comprising just three main elements: a steel base, an extruded aluminum column, and an aluminum top panel, it offered a profound lesson in the full product development process. From early prototype failures to extensive color studies, this project was among the first I thoroughly documented, providing a valuable record of both progress and insight. The final design responds thoughtfully to spatial constraints through its lightweight portability and ergonomic height, uniting the brand’s technology-oriented focus with softened, sculptural details that humanize its industrial materials. Years later, it’s rewarding to see that this design remains in production today, continuing to serve as a practical and enduring solution for modern environments.
